PERSONAL PROFILE
Having worked managing teams within both sales and claims in the insurance industry in Australia, I relocated to Ireland in 2012 and undertook a change in career into the IT sector.
I have completed the FIT ICTAP program which is an apprenticeship modelled entry into the ICT sector through a combination of level 6 Diploma study and work experience in a consultancy role at Accenture. During this time, I was placed in Eirgrid, as a Technical Analyst, where I was exposed to data analysis and reporting of API data transfer associated with the Integrated Single Electricity Market in Ireland. I also successfully obtained my Oracle Java Foundations and Associate Professional certifications.
I am looking to gain more practical experience specifically in software development, ideally in the Java programming language, but open to opportunities in other Object Oriented languages.
I have started a level 8 ICT Conversion at NCI in 2017, deferred it whilst doing the ICT Associate Professional Diploma, and intend to return this year to complete that course by January next year.
