Wilko, Java developer
Commercial project, UK
************ – to 11/2023

I worked on a project in two positions. First: I worked as a Backend Java developer who fixed bugs. Second: I worked as a business assistant who worked with business issues from customers. As Java Developer I worked in the Backend team, and I reproduced ticket bugs using Chrome browser and IntelliJ Idea tools. After this I fixed issues and pushed my changes on branch. I used debugger to paste test data and observe code behavior. Also, I spend some time writing new or fixing old JUnit tests. In the end I test fixed functionality on the local environment.

As a business assistant I worked with one more experienced teammate who helped me in the start. We receive tickets from the Wilko support team to delete unnecessary promotions from Hybris, resolve not refunded orders, find issues in the console, and send this data to Backend devs. Sometimes I created new dashboards for Wilko support and other devs. I used Kibana and Dynatrace for monitoring orders (and other staff), Hybris Backoffice and Administrative Console for checking status and writing Flexible queries.

Responsibilities:

  • ··Fixing backend/frontend bugs

  • ··Use logs to identify problems with orders

  • ··Monitor status of hardware parameters

  • ··Build dashboards based on log data

  • ··Creating Gradle scripts to manipulate with data in Hybris

  • ··Writing flexible query to extract data from DB

Technologies:

  • ··Kibana OpenSearch

  • ··Dynatrace

  • ··Hybris Console

  • ··Hybris BackOffice

  • ··Flexible Query

  • ··Bitbucket
